Welcome to the new Relay For Life of the Greater Hazleton Area Unit’s webpage!

Included on this site are many new aspects not only for our area’s Relay but also information about Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.  As with all Relay For Life Events, our community of teams include families, friends and coworkers that join together to CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer, REMEMBER those lost and FIGHT BACK against a disease that takes too much by raising money for American Cancer Society-funded research and programs.  We encourage you to explore this website and learn more about our very special Relay For Life!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Please review or give the flyer (click here) from the Hazleton Health and Wellness Center to those special women in your life.

Early detection saves lives! Leading experts, the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, and the American College of Radiology now recommend annual mammograms for women over 40. Mammograms don't prevent breast cancer, but they can save lives by finding breast cancer as early as possible. The ACS also now offers a service to remind you to go for your annual mammogram (click here for service).
