25˘ For A Quarter Million Campaign

 

This year, Hazleton’s Relay is undertaking an ambitious goal of raising $250,000.  Our fantastic teams are enthusiastically embracing this campaign by saving their quarters and any spare change from now until our Relay – May 30-31, 2008.  Together We Can Make A Difference one quarter at a time!

How You Can Help

*      Print out a label and start you own container for yourself to save quarters and all your spare change.  There are 227 days from our first meeting, 10/16/07, to Relay, 5/30/08.  If each person saves one quarter a day in that time period, they will have collected $56.75 during that time!  (Last year, 367 people were registered for a Relay Team.  That is equivalent to $20827.25!  It adds up fast.)  Contact your team captain or the Relay Chairs to pick up your donations when full.  It’s that easy!

*      Teams & team members distribute containers with the campaign labels to friends, coworkers, businesses, etc. (bottles with wide mouths work well!).  Remember to record where containers are left.  Containers are collected by team members when they are full or upon request.

*      Forward the name and location of containers to Mary Schriebmaier.  The donor/donation information will be displayed on our website as a donation acknowledgement or an advertisement for donor locations.

*      All money collected can then be taken to KNBT Bank and counted using their coin machine (locations are: http://www.knbt.com/Locations/Luzerne.html).  Teams are asked to please keep track of all funds generated from coin collections.  We would like to see if we can set a record in the process!

*      Teams turn in their money like all other Relay money.  All quarters and raise by the team will be credited to their team’s fundraising total.
